Anybody out there do big block Olds'?
Looking for advice on something completely different!
    THE KNOWN AND GIVEN:
!929 A pickup, full fendered, hood, bumpers, etc. (just like it came off of the ***embly line in 1928/29.
    Engine: 70/71 Olds 455
    Bored .060 = 468 cu. in. with forged 10 1/2 to 1 pistons
Rods beamed and all internals balanced
will be running cast iron heads, either; A, C, E, or 4A
cam = Erson TQ20, but I can change that
carbs, either Offy with 2 4's or Edelbrock with 1 4
    headers
    TH350 with a 2700 - 2800 stall converter
Franklin or Winters QC with 16" street slicks
    NOW THE UNKNOWNS
which heads should I use (probably the C's)?
    cam?
    carb setup?
    ignition?
    transmission, a TH350 or 400?
anything else I should know or take into account?
This is probably enough for now!
    Thanks, Elden

Welcome from Oklahoma to the HAMB. This is the intro thread, you might get more response on the main board with your questions. Bluedot on here is building a 31 Model A with a 455 Olds. You might pm him. I'm going to be putting one in my Model A but have not started that project yet. Good luck.
