    was an early Sunday morning with a few hours sleep...but still made the 30 mile hike out to work on the truck before work

    Saw your project for real at Marks place this weekend while picking up some bits for my project. Got me all fired up so today I made the engine mounts and cross member and got the engine and transmission in the frame. Thanks for the parts and advise Mark.

    cleaned out threads first. then screwing rod-ends into front split wishbones 2.2.09

    using anti-seize on rod-end 2.2.09

    turned down an early ford spring perch on the lathe 2.2.09

    turned down an early ford spring perch on the lathe 2.2.09

    drilled the wishbones for the perches and made them flush with the wishbone. 2.2.09

    the perches are angled so they would line up with the spring & angle of split wishbone spring perch is stock ford part.

    drilled a hole on both sides of the boxed frame 2.9.09

    DOM tube in hole sticks out slightly on either side so it can be welded on flush against the frame 2.9.09

    thanx norton. it's almost there. we just have to do the rear spring perch's and it'll be sitting on it's own wheels. there aren't any blocks under it currently.

    the steering is a 40 ford cross steering.

    thanks for still lookin at the page guys! it's getting there... :)

    Well shit, it's only a short 15 or so hour drive up here...wanna come build my coupe for me? You make progress at a good pace, whereas I'm crawling along like a snail.

    well, 15 is an estimate. in a new vehicle. if you don't mess around on the way up...

    for us to get down to Tacoma last summer took 29 hours! turns out Matt's '48 hates the States...

    You will be ready if you keep moving this fast!

    I swore I wouldn't run my post count up with simple "great job" posts but couldn't resist here. To see a young woman showing this much of a work ethic and enthusiasm in a project is inspiring. Great job!
