I've skimmed through this thread, and find the first line of your signature quite revealing.

Hershey was a month ago might as well have been 6-7 months ago the way time registers with me now. Hope to get back to organizing things, and building more ba*****t shelving over the weekend.

Last day of November, 2024. That drop leaf cherry table on the workbench got moved over to the other side. How long will that 27 x 66 area stay empty?

If you've followed my Roadster project you know that many of the parts have a connection to an old friend, many have p***ed on. Got a call from the son of a friend that p***ed on five years ago. Last time these tires were on my driveway they were on his car. If it is warn enough tomorrow they will get a good washing and some air. Great rollers!

Channeling is something I think about once in a while, maybe after all four doors are cut & finished.

Yes, There is a bit more footspace, since I moved the big table 90 degrees. Tonight I'll fill in under it. Moving stuff is a big help, I find stuff, and other stuff that goes with it, or a tool that is needed to do something. Any progress is good.

Daylight Savings Time started today, warm enough to hook up the outside hose and clean one of the four wheels that will be on the Steelback some day. Good time to drill and tap the wheels for the Kevin Lee disks. Ba*****t has become cluttered again. o_O

Hank and I are fine, never got around to that ba*****t clean up & organization. Monday the Town Library had the last day of the sale, $5.00 for a shopping bag full of books, I filled 25.

I found out years ago that buying books in bulk works out well. Easy to store, wrap and mail. So far there are no real gems, but I haven't seen every one or compiled a total.

These N.O.S rear fenders were at the Rhinebeck Swap Meet last year and I p***ed on them, think I was out of money. Back again today and I kept thinking about them ever since I saw them. It was raining hard, counted what I had left, I was short, but the ATM was in clear sight. Showed my Grandson how it worked and we were off to get the fenders. Timing is everything! The fenders were in the back of a Ford Crewcab that was backing out of the space. "Are the rear fenders still there?" "Yes", and the rain stopped. Parts are parts, but some are special, I bought these from a swap meet vendor I've known for well over 50 years. This was a fun day, the rain just made it more memorable.

I should be able to sell the two rear fenders I've had for 5-8 years and these will then be "Free". ;)

I did sell the one rear fender I've had for years last Saturday, now the NOS pair cost me half of what I spent. If the ba*****t clean up works out and the unwanted **** finds new homes I might make some progress.

Home from California and the Pebble Beach Car Week. Had a great time West Coast Grandson turned 3 on the day of the show, now back to normal. My new goal is to sell off more stuff and have a TIG welder by the end of the year, that will allow some progress on the doors and serious thinking about the top chop. Plan to list a lot of heavy stuff with pick up arrangements for my Hershey swap meet spots. Wide five brake drums and stuff like that cost more to ship than I can sell them for.

That is one bay of the garage looking at the overhead door, figured that is a good starting spot for the Hershey part selection, and to the dump pile.

4:44 time for a late lunch, the garage expedition is going well, I can place my hand on the overhead door. Found a suitcase with some old letters 1930's & 1940's to my Mon. The real gem was a newsletter from the S.S. John Harvard the Liberty ship that brought my Dad home from England in 1944! Never knew the name of the ship, but remember him saying it broke down and had to be towed into Boston.

Today turned out ok, found two things I'd misplaced, and got them boxed and mailed to the buyers. Decided to make my way to the back corner of the ba*****t and pick out all the stuff that is getting a one way ride to Hershey. Hope to have a 4 x 8 section of open floor to start the Hershey pile. Plan to price every item and just open the boxes once the tables get set up this year. Making TIG Welder money is the goal this year, but if I get sidetracked it will be for Dayton or Buffalo wire wheels & hubs.

The most open floor space in the ba*****t since last year when I bought the '32 rails at Hershey. Pulling parts is easy, pricing and getting things up to the driveway starts next week.

Five days to get everything moved out to the driveway, should be a great load of stuff I've managed to collect over the years.

Lots of heavy stuff going for very reasonable rates. The goal is sell enough stuff to buy a MILLER TIG welder and have the Steelback body sitting on a frame with four working finished doors this time next year.

HERSHEY Packing is going well. Moved all the stuff that needs to be saved and starting to build the pile of parts that are going. Nothing special has turned up except a Christmas gift book from 1922 that belonged to my Aunt. Tomorrow I should have all the stuff up from the ba*****t

Last look at things before they get loaded in the Penske box truck tomorrow. Big Day today, younger Grandson rode a bicycle for the First Time today. A few years on a scooter must of taught him how to balance, never had training wheels. Now the newest member of the street bikers.
