Hi - I don't know if anyone can help. Currently building a traditional 4 banger pickup and cannot find a pair of door strikers anywhere. Everywhere is sold out with no expected delivery. I'm in the UK so it's very difficult to find any at swap meets, etc. I'm using the original door latches
Anyone have any suggestions as to where I can get some or an alternative striker plate?

Hi woodiewagon4, thanks for the info, but they (like every other potential supplier) are out of stock.

  7. I suspect a single manufacturer problem. Anyone here good at sussing out the genesis producer? Seems like a pretty simple thing for a small manufacturer to invest in tooling and crank out a batch stateside. This is where actual economics cancels out political rhetoric. If there's just no opportunity to profit off of bringing the manufacturing back to the U.S., this scarcity is what we get. In the meantime, your best bet is to get to every swap meet you can and comb through the vendors' small boxes.

Osage is correct. As the amount of people that are restoring/hot rodding gets smaller and smaller suppliers don't stock parts like they once did. Stock that is sitting on a shelf actually costs money and the suppliers where the end user gets his parts aren't tooling up to have slow moving parts fabricated.
