After almost 4 years, I finally got my 29 rpu on the road last week. Its my first hot rod build so Im not happy with a lot of things. The plan is to drive it the rest of the summer, then blow it apart to do the bodywork and paint. I have already started collecting parts for the next build, a 29 roadster that will be built as a 1940s style hot rod.

That looks great and a lot of summer fun. Love the 56 Olds speedo.

Well life got in the way and I didn't get it painted this winter. I got a shorter rad made up so that I could lower my grill shell down because it was too high before, also got some wood in the box...originally I was just going to throw down some cheap plywood for the time being, but I got carried away and it turned out better than it was supposed to. I still need to build a cover for the crossmember, and a cover for the rear edge because I raised the floor up.

Took it for a drive today, below freezing temperatures and light snow isnt the greatest roadster weather but it was fun.

The plan is to put some more miles on it this summer, I will have a heated shop to work in next winter so hopefully I can blow it apart and paint it.

Coming along nice. Keep at it. The bed floor looks great!
