So I s****ed a small hole in the bottom of my 292 when I was moving it onto the stand (dont ask). Ithink it 'll be a quick weld ot fix it, but I was wondering does a SBC oil pan bolt up? if so I might just put a new one on the 292.

A 250 pan will fit but you loose oil capacity. It isn't that hard to pull the 292 pan off and weld it up.
You might want to think about a skid plate on the bottom of the pan too. A bit ugly but a piece of 1/8 steel plate might save the pan next time.

When I had my T bucket with the 283 in it I got pretty good at pulling and welding up the oil pan. The speed bumps at McClennan community College in Waco probably still have my oil pan marks on them.
