With the help of friends and familey, we were able to fire the engine for the 1st time today... I don't realy know what to say... This was my first time... I had my hands on evey part and bolt that went in this one. Curtis, my engine guru gave me a B- (he is the grey haired guru looking guy in the video...)

The engin is a '64 318 Plymouth Poly with a .40 over bore, med cam and the 3x2...

That thing is going to be a screamer! Very cool Jay!! Sounds good. In that second video, was one of the carbs choked, or do you just have one choke on them ad removed the chokes from the other two?

Only the middle carb has a choke. The 1st and 3rd are removed. In that 1st video, the rear carb was sitting WIDE OPEN!!! That is why I jumped back... LOL I was blasted with the wind from the fan blowing flat out... Everyone jumped, it was funny... Still makes me smile just telling y'all about it again....:D:D:D

There is always that Excitement / Tension there when firing off the engine. Is it going to run? Is it going to catch fire? Is it going to come apart??

I've done my fair share of jumping back when Eric pointed out a loose distributor cap.... except my jumping was involuntary! :D

^^^ That was funny ^^^ That needs a look, but don't touch sticker!!!

    LMAO.... I needed that!

In the video number 140 (the bottom one) right when the clip started, Curtis is wiping his face... The water hose neck was loose. After the engin turned over and had built up some pressure, it sprayed him iun the face. Thank goodness it was only water and it was not hot yet... That is what I was doing with the wrench... Too bad that was not on film... Lucky he was not hurt too...

Dan, you need to call me and remind me about that one... I always seem to hear about it the day after... I would LOVE to see your coupe. I have not seen it since the Dad-E-O-Chop pics... Start telling me when you do stuff... I would love to go!!!

man, I'm glad you did that, I never thought about putting a slide show together, so I bet there was no real order to anything.

I have an older post (1 year-ish) where I wrote the short stoy of when I found the body. the dude with the tractors is a very cool man.

No More Poly***** For You!!! as I say that, you prob-ly watched over and over again...

    Thanks guys!!!
