Jim, I just saw your post on 67-72trucks and was going to ask if you were coming down. Have you figured out where you are staying? I'm thinking about going to the preparty fri-night. If I don't go and camp out there, you are welcome to crash at my house. You could leave your truck and trailor at the shop all locked up in the country fri night. Let me know what your plan is.

Also, if you are not registered yet, I would get it in soon. I think you have to pre-register if you are planing on racing and Tech is done by 11:30am sat.

Those who are Pre Registered will have their TECH Cards waiting at the Gate for them, eliminating the need to stand in line to get it BEFORE 11:30 AM, once you have your TECH Card and get TECH'd you still have to go to Racer Registration to turn in your card and get your wrist band TECH and Registration will be open until 2PM so once you have your TECH Card you have until 2 PM to get inspected and registered, you only have until 11:30 to get your TECH Card @ Racer Registration. Hope that's CLEAR Rocky

Well.....been a busy month here at THE SHIRT SHAK......but we're gonna be there with bells on.....printin shirts on site yet again !!!!!.....Thanks to Rocky for this event right in our own back yard...... I'm hoping to bring out my Dart.....and the Hairy Canary....along with my boy making passes in his alky buring junior dragster.....GOOD TIMES....GREAT PEOPLE!!!!!

Also my blown Fiat may be making an apperance.....WE'LL SEE !!!!!!

 

Got a call from Marky today and he plans on participating with the PPE!

This is sooo COOL! I really wana go.

 

Well just got done with a quick thrash. Had to replace a broken Hughes SFI flex plate (glad it didn't come apart with some rpm behind it), new drive shaft is being made (swapped from a 4L80E to a glide), replaced the trunions in the factory rocker arms (factory ones tend to puke neddle bearings with high spring pressures and rpm). Drive shaft should be ready tomorrow. Hopefully this rain lets up so I can make sure everything is working correctly.

Now to do homework for school

 

Had a few problems with Elwood this last weekend and I've been sick for a couple of days but we are working into the night an will be there rain or shine. Wouldn't miss it for the world.

Well...looks like the boys car will be the only one making it.....been working 18 hour days for 2 weeks straight at the shop printing stuff for the Chowchilla Fair.....look for me Saturday morning...I'll be the zombie lookin guy at the T-shirt booth that smells of garlic and onions....at that point I'll have been up for the last 3 days straight....LOL

 

Dont think me and the boys will sleep much Fri. night.
Will be leaving Tracy at O'Dark Thirty...........
No car to run this year, but wait till next year

Let's see.................the runway is 2300 feet long minus about 860 ft so your looking at about 1400 feet I believe and stay towards the (imaginary after the finishline) center line and it's pretty smooth. See ya Sat! Rocky

my son had to stop in lenmor for tires on the trailer
he &my A&the greenslime falcon almost there now

 

Truck is on the trailor after a short road test this morning. Tow rig is almost all loaded up. Waiting for my buddy to call me after he loads his car. We should be there some time tonight..
