Event Coverage 2nd Annual Southwest MO Hot Rod Hundred Reliability Run - April 4, 2015

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by bchrismer, Jan 2, 2015.

  1. Absolutely WONDERFUL coverage, Duncan! I was very happy that you were able to come play cars with us.

We couldn't have ordered a more perfect day. Weather was absolutely gorgeous. Thursday night, we had terrible storms that flooded the park at Crane, but it all worked out great, thanks to BenD.

Jimmy & Claricia opened up their shop to host the pre-registration packets and fed the club members pizza. Made that job MUCH easier than last year.

Steve whipped up an incredible lunch and in spite of thinking that we would run out of food, we managed to have more than enough.

On behalf of the CrossMembersCC, thanks to all who participated and to those who volunteered to make the event great.

I may just take you up on that. The roadster should be drivable by then I hope. I'll keep you posted. Say Hi to the rest of the Hay family. Ron

It was a great day. I really enjoyed the route. I can't thank the Crossmembers enough for all the hard work to plan and execute these events. I left home at 0530 and returned at 7:30pm having logged 500 miles.

We rolled back into St. Louis about 8:30 Sat evening. Logged about..... well, I have no idea what we logged because I had to disconnect the speedo cable on the fly about a mile after the start, but in the neighborhood of 700.

Thanks to all that came out. There are plenty more opportunities to make one of these events in 2015, so check out he HRH link below and come on out and run with us.

  10. Big thanks to the Bret and Cross Members CC on another success! My lovely Bride and I had a blast again this year burnin' up some High Test Dinosaur Squeezins'. We even had a chance to lead a whole bunch of cars on a short "Wrong Way Parade" outside of Ponce-de-Leon!

Another big thanks to everyone that participated in this event to make it a great day! And, thanks for the pics Duncan! I will be watching you more closely now... :p

I ended up staying the night in Springfield again Saturday and headed out towards home Sunday after church with Jimmy and family. Made it home about 6:30 or so and clocked right at 750 trouble-free miles. Looking forward to seeing many of you again soon! I think I have been talked into making the Stray Kat 500 now...

Hey cool new avatar pic, my 11-year old daughter was thrilled that you liked it, so I'll have to show her how much you liked it..... I for one was glad that you made that wrong turn, because I got to see Jimmy (gonmad) waste a little fuel and rubber exercising the twin turbos on his only running old car:D.
