Event Coverage 2nd Billetproof Texas pictures

Bad: Fewer cars - by about a 1/3? Corrections welcome. Perhaps tomorrow's swap will see more.

Good: Temps were 20 degrees cooler than last year! Rat rod percentages dropped considerably. More food vendors.

Kickin' off @ last night's *** party... Great weather, laid back atmosphere, steady flow of people/cars in/out. Not too many shots:






My girlfriend dwarfs this *****in' '60. There were 4 women present over 6'1" - a kick-*** trend!

 

Right off the bat seeing Marcy's Hudson work-in-progress was a great way to start the day. Zac's fabrication on it is top notch.

 

Your girlfriend is hot. Wheres pics of the other 4 girls. I didnt have anything smarter to say.

For being a billet proof show there sure are alot of billet wheels on those trucks.

look at this way.. people take pics of what they like... if you think an unpainted or unrestored car is a "rat rod" I really dont know what to tell you. There are picture of two trucks... one with poished alum wheels, one with wheels that probably shouldnt have gotten into the show..... and from that we get "alot" of billet wheels. wow.

it happens every year at every car show in the world that has rules... some gets in that shouldnt. Im so tired of repsonding this type of tripe that there is a whole section written about it on the Billetproof website... enjoy. http://billetproof.com/rules/

and the rat rods.. please point out out of allllllllll the cars there what percentage you think were "rat rods" based on the dozen or so photos posted here...

Long way to go to finished shiny paint though. Zac at Full Custom Fab has done an amazing job on all the suspension work----will be posting build photos soon.

Side note for the would be "rule enforcers", the obvious billet wheel offender Chevy pick-up shown was part of Zac's vending display and wasn't entered in the show---people need to lighten up

Hate to tell you this but Lone Star does not filter out rat rods or cars with billetwheels... Plus it's $50. It's a VERY good show, but I'm afraid you might not like it if those kinds of things upset you

 

Alan, great ****ing show. I love how the "premier" hot rod site always seems to miss the whole point of rodding. Having fun.

 

1000+ other people manage to have a great time at the show, but some are bound and determined to find something to complain about. Again, valid critiques are welcome, but some of this stuff comes out of left field.... Out by where the vendor parked his mustang

gotta run for now, swap meeters are showing up.... Anyone want a 6x2 Hemi set up?
