    My pan doesn't look quite like that. I'll take another look to make sure the next time I'm at the shop. Pretty sure the sump is further back.

    Since 3/27 has past I guess I can post !!
    What is it about the 3-2-7 size thats "magic" and seems to scream better than the 283 or the 350 ?!
    A 3-3-1 FoMoCo engine seems to be the "magic" size for go in SBF's power?!!
    Better than the 302 OR the 351 !
    CRAZY !!...
    I mean I KNOW the difference and how both engine sizes come about but....still !:rolleyes:
    anyhow (I'm waiting for April 27th...side oiler Sunday)

    The parts store I used to work at had a manager with a Fox Mustang. He told me his 302 had a 3 1/4" stroker crank in it. I asked him why he didn't just start out with a 327 Chevy.

  6. the base block casting was the same for those 3 engines. They all share a 4” bore. The rotating assembly is what then determined the cubes.

    302 was a Z/28 only engine. A 68 302 motor would be a “MO” block on the front pad.
