Any idea where i might start looking to find some replacement steel wheels for my 39' ford 1 1/2 ton with 3/4" studs ( 5 bolt pattern on 4 3/4" centers)?

  2. Napa stores have boxes of them in Doorman packaging.
I went in one Monday morning and the Napa guy overwhelmed with their selection.

What are you trying to accomplish? Do you need additional wheels or just want a different wheel than you now have. That is really an unusual combo for stud size and bolt circle, as you no doubt know. Depending on what you are seeking, you could have the centers from your existing wheels put into different rims (hoops). That may require machining the center's OD to fit the hoop but any machine shop can put them on a lathe and do that.

It may be possible, as hinted at in the prior post, to replace the big studs with a smaller size. Possibly your existings hubs could be drilled with a new bolt pattern of a diameter and stud size of your choice. Worth checking into.

1929 Double A through 1934 BB ford trucks have the same bolt pattern, but the center hole is smaller and doesn't fit over the hub of 35 and later large trucks.

1935 1.5 ton up through 1954 big truck wheels should all fit your truck, but the later wheels will be wider than stock. I believe in 56 ford went to 6 lug wheels on one ton and up.
