I'm trying to get an 83 Cutl*** running for a friend. What I need to know is there an aftermarket non computer controlled distributor available for this 3.8 L V6? I plan on doing a search later tonight to see what I can find. Just hoping someone has already found one so I make sure I get the right one. Thanks.
It’s a Buick V6 ( distributor in front). You can use any Even fire Buick V6 distributor mid 1977 and up.

That might be what happened yo this one. 40,000 mile original car. Something happened to the motor. I'm not sure what that was, I wasn't there. I would have put a V8 in it if it was mine.
The V6 HEI's were prone to burning thru the cap to the ground lead. Make sure the little metal snake and the black wire are attached properly and the ground lead is good. V8 shown but the same stuff.
