    Hey guys,

I'm in the process of piecing together a 3x2 setup for my '55 272 Y-block ranch wagon. My question is are the Ford 94 carbs, as end carbs, a good match with a ECG-5, 1 & 1/16 carb as the center unit? I hope so as I have already bought the 94's. A little late on the asking for info, huh?

Thanks in advance for the help!!

What I did ( right or wrong ) was to use a 1 1/6 as my middle carb - and 1" arbs for the out board carbs. The middle carb is the only carb I idle on - If you set up will be progressive you'll be ok .

I'm no expert but I do believe if you go this route both end carbs must match -
If you are running a straight linkage thay all 3 need to be the same

  3. I run this setup on my y block in my A coupe .. it runs real good!

The 2 outside carbs are just dumps but all 3 should be the same size for equal distribution of fuel .
I had a set up for my 272 Y block but never used it and sold it ! I had 3 matching 1-1/16th size carbs on mime !
I would ask Tim McAllister (MC64Tim) I think is his HAMB name or call John Mummert since those are the best 2 Y block guys I know of !

I did mine with a 1 1/16" center carb and 1" end dumper carbs also.

The end carbs do not need to be the same size as the primary carb.
