3 speed lube

What weight are people running in their top loaders?
Same as in the rear (banjo)?

 

Well, I'm running a later 3 speed toploader, from the late 60s, and I'm sure you are talking about the early ones, but I use 85w-140 or whatever.
There is some really stinky thick black oil that I've heard people use in the early trannies, it is the equivalent of SAE 250W, or something. But don't take my word for it.
