Is the Trans for the I6 and the Flattie the same? I am looking for a 3 speed OD trans for my 215, anyone have one for sale?

Also will the 3 Speed OD from the 223 work on the 215?

You can interchange any 1949-55 3 spd O.D. p*** car Ford transmission as they are all 6 volt and the same length a 56-59 would also work but have 12 volt solenoids, but if you rewire and upgrade to 12 volt those earlier transmissions will accept the later solenoids. Some early 50's Studebakers will also interchange,if you can find an early 1949-59 Hollander Manual you may find more options. The 1956-59 Fords that used a T-85 w/OD are stronger units.

Thank you, this is the best social group on the HAMB for just this kind of thing. Thanks Jeff.
