  1. I’d drive it

    but prefer the old paint, steel wheels and bumpers
    No biggie.
    We all see things differently
    I’d drop the rear a bunch, raise the front a tad and add skirts. :)

    This is a photo shop. Rik Hoving did it using Javier Mejia's Merc as the basis.

    Pretty sure both sedan doors coupe body metal work done by Randy Riall also built the car in post 100

    IMHO, the best five to three window conversion is Kirk Hammet's, Cole Foster built '36 Ford.

    Man! A '53 Chevy is one on my least favorite cars but holy cow that '53 ElCamino creation is sweet!

    I never like the roof of that car. With the straight up lines of the B pillar it just doesn't appeal to me in slightest. It's sort of like they couldn't get the windows right so they filled them.
     
  15. I definitely think it could have been executed better, yet at the time, that was a very forward thinking modification. The design capabilities of most were not as refined as much as they have eventually developed into. I really like the cool factor of the early pioneers to dare to be different. It eventually evolved into very cool 3 windows over time.
