3 X 2 carb and intake adapter

im thinking of buying a three 2 brl. carb & adapter to a 4 brl. intake for a small block ford engine- the one they show in the speedway catalog. but im thiniking that i might have a clearance problem with front mounted distributor. has anyone tried this at all????--------goufos
