Can somebody answer this question. Do you need to pinch 32 rails to get a 30-31 A coupe to fit properly?
Do a search, this just came up again a week or so ago, shouldn't be hard to find. I pinched mine by the way. President US Chapters Goldchainers C C Dallas, Texas Chapter
Depends on what you mean by "properly." no pinch here... just a modified cowl panel and subrail nose.
Compare the frame drawings on the Wescott site. http://www.wescottsauto.com/Tech/frame_specs.html Moose did a good write up on how he did the frame for his model A coupe. The thread is here somewhere.
This is the most 'PROPER' introduction of a '30 onto a '32 frame I've seen yet. Noting the curve of the reveal, the lower cowl rocker bead parallels it in a factorylike manner. This Highboy looks like a FoMoCo mid-year design! (reminds me of the detailed 'Product Identification' on the Miller-Ford Indy cars of the 'thirties)
mines pinched. Heres where i got mine and he sort of explains pinching or not. http://www.blackboardhotrods.com/'32 frame pinched for model A.htm
