I'm trying to get my coupe body back together and i need to know what kind of gaps the doors ought to have around them on the inside? Also I'm using longer doors off I think a sedan, they are about an inch and a quarter or so longer has anyone else built a coupe using longer doors? If you did how did you fix the gap between the front of the roof and the A pillar?
The gap should be about 1/4" on the inside between the door and the pillars. If your door is tapered at the top you have a door from a late 31 Slant Windshield car. The Old Tinbasher
Naw these doors are square. 1/4" seems wide but your prolly right thats about what the cowl to door gap is at the A pillar but i wanted to be sure. I had it set around an 1/8" so ill widen it up in the morning
I just measured the door gaps on my coupe between the A pillar and the leading edge of the doors. They seem to run pretty consistant at 3/32". the widest gap I found was 1/8" and I used a machinist scale. Hell, 1/4" sounds like you're hangin' barn doors...
