    What is y'alls opinion on sectioning 2.5" from the middle or just cutting 2.5" from the bottom? Of course sectioning requires customizing the insert.

    I took just enough out of the bottom side area of mine to bring the hood flange to the point where my hood was level. 20200606_165427.jpg

    Section, I did that to my 31' shell. I like keeping the original lines.

    Although a 31' shell you can see how I did it in the pics.

    NO,! NO !NO!, JUST TRIM THE SIDES .....at the bottom, don't touch the insert !!!!

    Fact: you really want hood to slope down at grille shell, otherwise it appears to be goin' up

    My vote is for>>> to section an A shell,,,
    The amount needed to have my hood top slope forward just enough. ( no sides )
    Then, if still alive, fashion a thinbar grille like I've only seen once.
