Asking for some help here with my RPU cab. Mocking it up for the first time and I'm wondering what the cab back dimensions should be. I cut down a roadster sub frame and everything is looking alright so far but I'm at a loss on the cab back. Am I missing something or just looking at it wrong. First time doing this. Thanks, Pat

I would say either get or mock up the doors before you get too far. The doors will tell you where the back needs to be

Agreed- Doors are the key- roadster doors are a couple of inches shorter than coupe doors. The sub-frame will definitely require some cut-and-weld fitting. Line up the sheetmetal, and it should tell you what you've got to do. Keep in mind, the "A" doors are an "over-lap" fit ( around 1/4 "), not flush on the "B" piller ( or cab-back). If in doubt, find one to look at . Slow and steady wins the race! Good luck with it.

Still on the hunt for a set of doors and found out my cab back is 54" instead of the 52" it's supposed to be. Still looking for pics and other details on the cab back. I think I may have to wait until iola for a set of doors.

Yes you really do need your doors or you'll be cutting up doors to make fit. Good luck! Roger

  8. I have a '31 RDPU but I don't know what you are looking for? Once you put the roadster doors on everything should go together.
