30 inch glass packs not loud enough

get shorter ones. I once ran 8 inch glasspacks... gave the car a perfect rumble!

The correct answer is straight pipes.

I had heard that you should get the glasspacks hot then run cold water up the pipes to the muffler to break the fibreglas up.
I did it.
I put a garden hose into the tailpipe and turned on the water. The water went in and went in and I was beginning to wonder where it was all going, when it came back out with a tremendous force. The steam sprayed me from waist to ankle.
The burn was very painful and I got out of my clothes and into a bathtub of cold water but nothing helped the pain.
The next day I had blisters full length of my leg, wrapping around my leg and as big as my leg. Three days later the blisters were still there and the pain was not subsiding. I went to a Doctor who gave me one ounce of Silvadine.
I learned later that this was criminal negligence and I should have sued the Doctor. His excuse? He didnt ever deal with burns.
Finally went to the emergency room and they freaked out and shot me up with real drugs and peeled my skin off every day for weeks. They told me I would have been crippled for life if I had not come in. Then I went to physical therapy for weeks until I could walk again. One day the pain was so intense that it took me 35 minutes to get out of bed and walk to the bathroom. The next day it only took 20 minutes.

This is the one and only time we don't need to see "pics or it didnt happen". Thanks for sharing, I would have never guessed that could happen.

Or you could just install my slightly used Flowmaster 40 series that I just swapped out in favor of a pair of Thrush Turbos.

Those Flowmasters are the loudest street mufflers I have ever heard and I didn't need to hear them for long to know they weren't for me.
