Howdy, Im a new guy from Seattle, I just found the H.A.M.B. forum. My every day driver is a 65 Chevy truck (LWB) Ive had for years, and Ive done all the work on it since I got it, I realize this site is about PRE 65, but hell, the 64 Chevy C10 is almost identicle to the 65, and the 66 for that matter. I also have a 65 GMC SWB, a 1930 Ford Coupe, and a bunch of motorcycles. Heres a photo of my 1930 Ford Coupe, project rig, on the day I got it, (as it was when I bought it). Im still in the process of planning out how I want it configured. Im deeply into the hunting-gathering stage, finding and obtaining parts, info and ideas. don't know what color yet, just not yellow, (probably) I never thought I'd have a yellow car, problem is it's starting to grow on me. Im getting rid of the tubbed rear, the too narrow 9 inch rear end, and the too wide rear tires, I havent decide yet whether Ill modify and use the 2 X 4 frame or replace it with a pinched 32 type, It has no diagonal bracing, and the rear end was badly installed by some differently abled person in the cars past, I plan to use a forged dropped I-beam front axle, I dont know if the one I have is repairable or not it looks like its bent a couple different ways, It has a split wishbone, they also look slightly bent (up from the underside), I havent decided between using split wishbone, hairpins, or 4-link yet, I have yet to determine the ideal rear end width, I havent decided what engine Im going to use either, I want to use a manual trans, I have a 350 Chevy, and automatic that came with the car, a pretty hot 283 that needs a rebuild, And a 327 thats in good shape available, But I have been contemplating using a 500 Caddy motor, (it would be quite a bit more expensive by the time I get it set up for a manual trans.) Since I got the car I have been kinda sidetracked, on remodeling the garage a bit, making it bigger. I was making it longer and had no door on it, One day I came out to find a (housing challenged) guy sleeping in my car! I convinced him that there were better places for him to be. Dan

lol this is one small town!! pm me your phone#, I think we need to take a beer together in the local brewery on The Ave... DoDads will be in Vehmaa, west coast of Finland and Pistons´Rumble will be arranged in Tuusula, near capital Helsinki of this country. Some of the organizers of both of those cool events are HAMBers, so I'm sure you will have information early enough to buy flying tickets. It's 13 hours flight from Sea-Tac, though... Thanks for the compliments, I like your Coupe too! Mika
Where exactly do you live cause I'm always looking for free parts. Happy to hear you're changing the car from being tubbed. Good thing I read your post before I flamed your**** for having it that way. I surely would have imbarressed myself again. Hey really, post your address. You said you didn't have a garage door, right?
You come around here looking for "free parts", and I have an old drive shaft I would be happy to install FOUR FEET UP YOUR****!
