Does a original 30 model a coupe vin # ? Or would it be a newer added DMV sticker or something Found one for sale . Seller says he has a ***le "for a 30 model" cars in washington... .
Originally, it had a serial number on the engine block, and the drivers side frame rail under the cowl, and they matched.
Not one of Fords better idea's, you have to lift the body, and then the running board aprons have been rubbing on the numbers for all of time so they can be very hard to see.
Top of left frame rail, right in front of cowl. That is the number that should match the ***le. Be aware that not many Model A’s have their original engine.
To see the VIN the body has to be lifted or off the frame, when DMV tries to verify the VIN , after the car is finished and they feel ***ured that it is legit, that's when they add those number tags on the A Pillar.
NO NO NO The Ford Model A had a serial number stamped on the engine. Some frames had a serial number stamped on them BUT NOT ALL HAD A STAMP ON THE FRAME. https://www.fordgarage.com/pages/ABenginenumbers.htm#C0
