    I have been following your build. She is looking good !! Hope to see it at the nostalgia events at NED. Nahua is a bit out of my local area. Would like to see a tech on your powder coat oven build and your equiptment / process for powder coating.

    i applied the powder with an eastwood hot coat gun. I should post a tech about the oven and process...

    decided against the powder coat tech article. theres too much to go wrong with building an oven and I really don't want to be responsible for anybody burning their house down. You have to use hi temp wire in certain places... its a wiring nightmare too.

    Man........that thing is looking NICE! Very impressive work out of your one bay shop. your home built cure oven is kick ass. I'm looking forward to seeing the body back on the frame, keep up the good work:cool:

  12. I wonder if you could slip a '55-'56 speedometer into the center of the dash. Shape is close. I have one that I've carried to swaps for years I'd donate to the cause for the shipping. Potmetal housing is so-so, but you could clean it up and powder coat it.

    Here's someone's nice one in the classified to show what it looks like.

    I have pictures of a 31 Plymouth with a oval back window that has been chopped 3 inches. This site won't let me post pictures. Toreadorxlt is a real craftsman. I could only hope mine will look that good.

    thanks for the offer, but im not gonna run a speedo... I got my gauges already too.


    Guide coated and first block done. need to glaze a few more spots and block again.

    thanks for the good words guys! I was iffy on brown as soon as I pulled the trigger, but i think it works.
