    Some progress...
....Dug out my carbs, spacers, and scoops and took them over to my buddy's shop. We took off the four barrel intake and bolted on the Offenhauser 6x2 intake and the cross hoses and clamps. We installed the long carbs studs into the intake and put the carbs on. Eli started making up the carb linkage..he does all of his from scratch and its pretty cool how he does it, very old school. Hopefully we'll be ready to re fire the engine by the end of the week. Got some black spark plug wires that I need to cut and install..those grey ones are really bothering me, but they served their purpose to fire the engine up.

Also got the driveshaft in and made the hard line throttle pedal linkage.

Final body work is also done on the doors...the car will be going for paint as soon as the fuel system is finished........gotta keep on truckin!!!!!!

I shot some video for Jerry tonight . Not the greatest , but it'll get the point across ;) . Sounds great w/open pipes for sure . The car's just hot-wired to run , as we've gotta make up the wire harness yet , once it comes back from the body shop . Gotta get the generator & belt back on too , so it doesn't burn up too . Well ... on to the video (more to come for sure) :

Man , I've gotta adjust the brightness on the camera before I shoot daylight stuff again , jeez !

I love the battery cables just hanging out the space where there should be doors.

Hey, any plans for a May Hamb & S****ple?

Ohh, and as a heads up, we're doing the AstroMonkey BBQ again this year on June 27th. I'll post up the details and start a thread for it closer to the actual date.

Stopped over to Donny's place to check out the progress on the body work...he has the body work on the back corners where I sectioned it almost done and it primer. Another coat and some fine tuning to get the edges nice and sharp and it will be ready...looks great. Check out the before and after. I welded it up and grounded it down and got it as close as I could..but now it's the way it should be.

finally come color! Heres the body after some sanding, blocking, and paint by my friend Donny. He's got the knack for sprayin. The color is a dark emerald pearl. Can't wait to pull the paper off. We touched up the frame as well. Came really out nice. It's coming home tomorrow for re***embly. Lot's of reflections in the paint from the clear and the lights but you can get an idea.
