'30 Sedan, paint it or leave it alone?

IMOP....if you don't paint it, it will look like just another rat rod out there and God knows we've seen enough of those already!
Patina is a "rat rod" thing...it was NEVER cool. Paint, however, has ALWAYS been cool.

He's a buddy of mine, he's still got it and no, it didn't get painted....yet! It does look a little purdier when driven in the rain though - shiney!

 

Aren't you the one who drug this 5 year old thread back up?

I know he's your friend but a half finished car is still a half finished car.

Just my two cents,-If you are going to keep it, I'd paint it. Thats a nice body, it would look killer with some paint.

 

Well, the original post was from 2006, is it painted yet?

 

It needed paint in 06. Hmm, must really need paint now.

 

He lives on a country gravel road and is concerned that he don't have enough spit or time to polish the dirt off it every time he goes out. That's all that's holding him back, he really does want to paint it eventually, but is really enjoying driving the wheels off it for the time being.
