302 ford fireing orded

what is the f o for 88 high output 302?......OLDBEET

 

Not 100% if it was all years ... but the 302HO used the 351 firing order ... 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8

 

Tryin to type with one hand, phone in the other. Friend has a 302 in his chopped Ecno van, 1988 High Output 302, thinks the fireing order is not same as regular 302. Anybody know???.......OLDBEET

 

Call ford dealer service or parts dept. They're pretty helpful in my neck of the woods

 

All HO 302 regardless of year are the same as 351W:

1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8

Unless, of course, the cam has been changed to a non-HO-type cam. Unusual if you stick with hyd-rollers - they're all the HO firing order. If it's been converted to hydraulic, you've got a better than 75% chance the firing order has been switched back to the old one:

1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8
