Have a 56 wagon with a 302. Wondering if I take the pressure line and add the "Ford" reducer that is in line on the 54-56 stock Ford line if that might help the sensitive touch to the power steering? Thanks. Gerry

Most Ford P/S pumps have a preasure relief spring inside the fitting on the back. Try changing the spring for a lighter one. It will be trial and error untill you find the one you want.

I did install a Ranger pick up spring but no diffrence. What spring do you think might be lighter than that? or might I try and cut a coil out? Thanks. Gerry

One would think a Ranger spring would be on the light side. Are the springs on the newer style pumps similar? Tempo/ ****** type?
