I am getting a bunch of parts together for my next project. I got a coupe and want to use a 1950 303 olds that I have laying around. Am I gonna run into anything radicaly out of place on this swap. I am running a short three speed with a aftermarket shifter. Pics of olds powered cars anyone?
Tight fit in this 32 I saw; This may be a 371, not sure, but similar. Starter fit fine on left side with a f-100 box
My first hotrod (40 years ago) was a '54 olds (same as your 303) in a model A roadster and it was a bolt-in with the ford v-8 front motor mounts and adapters they sold back in the day. If you can fabricate a little bit you should have no trouble duplicating what I bought. I used the trans crossmember from my ****** so it had the correct mount and then raised/lowered the engine/trans until the driveshaft angle was pretty good and then fabricated and welded new ends on the crossmember to fit the model A frame rails, and Bob's your uncle.
