I've got a spare set of 520 vortec heads from a 97 305 that have been redone. I have a complete 96 vortec 350 that despite not remembering the casting I know I was told it's the "good" casting. Plan was to run the 350 as is while I rebuild another vortec headed 350 to replace it with before rebuilding the current 350. I was thinking as I'm not going for all our power id run the 305 vortecs. Are the intake valves 1.84 like 305 ho or are they 1.94 like 350 vortec?
Nevermind I just got one lol. Now that I'm back in Missouri my Google is working better I did figure out they are in fact 1.84" intake valves
I read the 305 chambers are smaller. Is that true. Was looking into putting a set on a flat top piston 307 . Want to get the compression around 10-1. Looking for a cheap way to get a bit more power in process. Cheap intakes are avaliable. Are they smaller chamber than 64cc 461's
That would help . Would be a bit less milled slightly. A dozen aftermarket aluminum intakes and I'd need to buy a new one LOL. What did those 305 Vortec engines make ? I bet it's comparable or more than if they had 461 heads .
I do not know if difference in the vortex 305 to 350 , I know stock 350 V is a better head then 2.02 camel with average work done ,
