Technical 307 with 400 crank

    Root hawk….Please re-read my post …. 283 with 4” bore. Standard for us 301” guys back with a stock stroke.

    Same thing!... bolt on a degree wheel on a long stroke crank and an indicator on # 1 piston... then check how many degrees the piston sits at tdc while slowly turning the crank....

    Wouldn't deck height and rod length also factor into that?

    Yep!
    I've yet to try that on a 302 short block I have in the garage....:rolleyes:
