I went to look at a 31or 30 -3 window coup that hasn’t been out/running since 74.it has a 350 corvette engine with a M-21 and 8” posi rear.Mosty original interior with all S&W wing gauges in the dash. One quick “barn”repaint pealing in some spots, and looks like magnesium rims.Solid sheet metal with some thin area in truck where he put the battery but no rust through, windshield and rear window have been sealed.Looking for a fair number to offer the guy he does have the paperwork.

Nice find. If that car was offered to me for 5 grand, I'd jump on it. If it was 10 grand, I'd walk. I'd clean it up, ditch the scrub motor, and drop in a retro styled 426 Hemi.

The louvers are punched in backwards. Car does have potential however.

I’d just clean it up and drive it, neat car. Interesting that they placed the hood louvres facing forward.

Looks like a 31 PA. 30 was a model U which had a different grill.
Hard to give an estimate without giving it a really good look over.
From the looks of the trans tunnel patch work I would look at the frame, suspension and steering very closely for shoddy work and base your offer on what needs to be replaced or reworked.
My 31 PA has a 56 354 Hemi. Very tight squeeze but it can be done.

  6. Neat looking car.
Definitely will need work to get back in the road.
I think the wheels are just aluminum slots.

value is hard on this, how bad does he want to sell and how bad do you want it ?

    7 grand ain’t outta line.
    Neither is asking 10
    $3500 bucks would be a deal !!!!

Looks like it could be an LT-1 engine. I would get it and do this! scan0055.jpg

Thanks for the info. I bought it today it came with another hood after it was pointed out the luvers were backwards, thanks for that tip goldmountain.I will pull it out from the under ground garage where it’s been since 78.The car was out together by his dad and driven 50 miles and parked when his dad lost all interest and stared selling the collection, all Fords this was the only car that was not a Ford.We live on the east end of Long Island and this guy was known to run up and down the beach with modified model As. This will be part of the story that will be told with this car.I will be pulling the 350 and dropping a 327 I have recently pulled from a running car.For now I will be looking for the hood ornament.
