I don't have a pic for you but I can describe what a friend of mine did. He used a set of Ford Taurus fans on a decent sized radiator. It was mounted at an angle, like a 45 behind the cab of a 27ish Ford. It's cooling a twin turbo'd small block Chevy. If I dig up a pic I will share.

  6. Thanks guys. Voodoo Larry built a Model A with rear rad. Was just a thought for mine. Wondering if any of you have done this or have some ideas on just how it is done, and what components ?

No not smart to do that,it will hert you......................and your car,if it's a hotrod don't.
Very poor air flow, poor water flow, lots of airpockets, lots of places for hoses and things to come apart or brake, can burn you in more ways the we got room to list. In a truck or other nohotrod thing you have more room to try and avoid prob. Still not a good idea an dose not look smart anyway

mounted the radiator in the rear of my '37 chevy truck. check my albums for pics (can't upload pics for some security reason). I used a hydraulic motor for the fan run by the power steering pump so the fan runs always and doesn't use electrical power. it's not inside a trunk but still doesn't get a lot of air flow, being directly behind the cab.

  9. youngsspeed. Are you using the water pump on the engine only for flow or other set up??

I have a rear mounted rad in my OT rock crawler and it works very well.

I am just using the stock water pump

I welded up exhaust pipe for the lines and have an electric fan out of a ford taurus on it and it cools the v8 and the tranny cooler just fine. And I have punished this setup a lot.

These are the only 2 pics I have. The rad is mounted on an angle.

Littleman has some bad ass builds on here though i never seen that one ,if you look just in front of the rear wheel you can see what looks like a air intake for the rad and i bet there is a lot of brass or copper tubing involved for coolant (antifreeze) or water at the drag strip

  12. Somewhere, i have an American magazine with an artical on an OT radical hot rod, called The Tubester. Its a red early Ford, i think, and its running two small radiators, behind the cab. Theres also two large curved airscoops, on each side of the cab, directing air into the radiators.
