OK I've got the basics done. Still need tires, headers, dash, radiator and few other things. OK here is what I need help on. Funds are low (as always) and I'm ready to drive this bitch. What are the CHEAPEST tires I can buy? Yes I'd like white walls or the vintage type tires but they can come later. For right now I just want to drive it. Ok the fornt wheels are 15x5 and 15x7 on the rear. Thanks for the help.
what style build is it....radials are probably gonna be cheapest, but in my opinion they look bad on trad cars...but thats MY OPINION
Well I guess I want my cake and eat it to. ha I want the "look" without spending to much. I've heard of VW tires for the front.
Don't dismiss the used tire idea out of hand. Most tire places have a good selection of takeoffs that have little miles on them but can't command premium prices just by the fact that they are used. By shopping deligently you could pick up a set for less than $100 that will last a year easily, maybe longer. In the meantime you could be saving for the permanent set while getting some fun seat time in your new ride. Frank
Thanks! I will check into the used tires. If the weight is around what I think it will be, and the motor I have in it. Well lets just say I will need rear tires often.
