31 came home yesterday

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by gtowagon, Jul 14, 2013.

  1. Cool car, and I like the choice on the mill/4 spd too. I clicked on it "31 came home" thinking I'd see what shape some bodies model A was in. I like the fords too, but its fun to see different.

Lookin good to say the least. Getter her goin and have lots of fun.

  4. very nice and different.

leaving the body alone for a while and giving it a longer shake down period will only help to expose an issue before you pretty it up.

nice job, glad to hear you are reinvigorated.

Can't go wrong with either, but for me the spinners have a slight edge over the cones.

That is looking great. I'd put in a vote for the darker blue myself.

Spinner for me....I like darker blues....not a fan of cam shaft spreader bars...that car is too classy for that. :)
Nice 31! I like Fords but the other makes made some really nice coupes. I'd love to have a 32 Dodge/Plymouth.

  21. Not to be negative; but all that neat work, then use a cam as a spreader bar?

  23. Any more pictures of the metal work done to replace the wood inside the car? The OHC six
    is a nice touch.

The a and b pillars have steel plate behind the original tins which were originally supported by wood. The floor was replaced with custom subrails and a 1 piece floor

  25. Cool, its nice to see something different.
Are you going to run hood sides? I like seeing a glimpse of those neat headers, it'd be a shame to hide them.

Super nice job so far!... I'd go cone caps, the darker blue color, and a normal spreader bar.
