31 chevy coupe front end

Ok, I can use a S-10 rear end. But, what do I use to change the hubs to a 5 bolt pattern on the front? thanks Joe

I am converting my 29 to drums from a 49-54 chevy pass car.

Go to DroppedAxles.com...under chevy axles he list some good dimensional information for reference on axle and kingpin dimensions.

I don't have all the info put in one place to help you out and it has been a while since I researched it, but do a search here on the Hamb and you will find the info that you need.

 

There are many "Tube" axles with ends on them to take 49-52 Chevy Spindles...MAS in Minneapolis sold bunches of them years ago, I have a 4" dropped one on the the front
end of a 32 Chevy Frame...I think Speedway might even sell one

 

53-54 brakes are a bolt on. Need to use the early inner race on inner bearing and some spacers need to made for backing plate. If I remember correctly there is a spacer on the bottom of the 54 setup it goes to the top and longer spacer made for the bottom but it's been 35 years since I've messed with this.
