    C'chopper -

    Great job!

I'm building a 292-powered RPU - also with a Saginaw 4-speed. I'd be curious to know what transmission ratio you're using (identified by the number of rings cut into the input shaft), as well as your choice of flywheel (steel or aluminum), and rear end gear ratio.

I'm figuring the motor will have plenty of torque, so I can get away with the aluminum flywheel, which should give better throttle response. Does that make sense to you?

And lastly, are you are happy with your particular drivetrain setup? If not, what would you change?

    Thanks much.

    Hey Stan,
I don't remember which sag we put in it at the moment. I'll take a look. It's close ratio but i'll figure out the specifics. I'm using an alum flywheel. The motor has been ported and polished, balanced, rv cam, bigger intake and exhaust valves as well. It's real torquey too. running custom headers and about 8 foot straight pipes. She raps pretty good!

I'm really happy with the setup, thus far. I've only put on about 30 miles so far but will really wind it out this weekend.
