Wanted to post some pics of my coupe. I finished it up about 6 months ago, and had a local guy snap some photos of it for me. Its got a hopped up 8ba with vintage fenton heads and intake. 32 front axle, bones etc. 46 rear trumpets for a wide circle track look, w/ quickchange. it has chicken wire rear windows, no front glass only windshield glass. it has torque tube exhaust going to reversed center dump headers. im forgeting a ton of shit, but theres to much on the car to remember, I did everything on the car myself with the exception of the motor and the roof. My friend Al ( Jetmek ) built the engine for me. everything on the car besides the steering box and a few odds and ends is an original ford part. Im starting a 27' roadster next ( I need it shipped from california if anyone can help ) so i figured id let you guys have a look at this. if anyone wants to see anything else on the car, just ask ill post some photos.
Luv the rod! Might be interesting to hear some of the story, how long it took to come up with all the parts, what you had to go through, a car like that had to be an adventure!
Yeah there Fenton heads with a Fenton 2x2 intake. It took me about 2 years to gather all the parts and to build it, i found all the parts at swap meets, and from a few friends. I built the car with some help from my father neither of us are mechanics or car builders. I basically built the car with a chop saw and a 4 inch grinder. I fabricated the steering blister myself using an old tail light bucket and a piece of flat stock.i had a machine shope weld early ford splines onto the box to use a ford pitman arm I built it to look like an old circle track car, so it sits on top of am A frame z'd 13" in the back, Just enough to let the top of the wheel sit at the reveal. i do have some build pics so if theres some part of the fab you want to see let me know, ill try to get some up in a day or two. I built the headlight bar out of a 32 and an A bar, ummmm lets see what else........ladder bars are built out of ford radius rods, 1" tubing. I found the shell in a friends garage and he was willing to sell it. Theres a round T tank in the trunk along with a ful floor, battery etc.
ALindustrial....I drive the car all the time, i probably have about 1,500 miles on it....its not quite as flawless in person as the pictures make it look, its ussually covered in dirt ..i drive the shit out of it!!!
I know you said you have a Model T oval tank in the trunk. It looks like you didn't cut out the stock Model A tank. Is that correct, or did you cut the back out so you could put wiring inside? I really dig this car. This is the era I'm into for sure, and see a lot of details that I'm using in my build. Great Job!!!
