6" chop completed on my 31 and things going not bad, but have hit the wall on re-doing a windshield header with metal instead of wood. Any ideas or pics would be great. Played with a few ideas but have spent as much time on this header as the rest of the chop and weld took!
Well---lets see -- 57 yr old dude with some grnd kids that always found a hot rod interesting but out of reach. Done the harley thing but rider buddies are thinning out so thought it was time for a Rat. Saw one at Calgary world of wheels show about 5 yrs ago and always wanted one like it. Also thought about buy and drive but want to be able to say "Its my build" -with some help of course from some good builder friends. Buying is cheaper than building but oh well-the price for pride. Started gathering stuff last Sept and have enjoyed the ride so far.
A 56--331 was all I was able to score but will look great with the log intake, 3 deuces and lake headers. Nice rebuild with a mild street cam from Rod at D&W Custom in Calgary. Would have been a whole Sht load cheaper doing a 350 but.
Nice intro, It's nice to see you are putting a big block in your a-bone. Unless, of course, I took the term "rat" out of context, Let's hope I didn't. Post your question message about the header under tech on the main board.
