Drove it? !!!! That's killer news to hear after watchin' all that blood, sweat and tearin' from my couch and computer.
Some updated PICs.. I spent tonight prepping for the exhaust shop tomorrow. Since I rebuilt the engine. I really want to be able to cruise with the wife and i know she isn't down with the noise or the fumes... Honestly, both bother me... err... guess I'm getting old It's all good...
YES - I Know the plate is off center Also, i will be ditching the expanded metal rear window.. Towards the end of this summer i will be pulling it apart and going with hot rod black, candy apple red metal flake red top and scallops for paint and red plexi glass rear and side windows..... Ya all cool with that ?
R. J...Awesome build. I appreciate your creativity and direction..How does it run. What do you think of the intake performance wise.. Duane.
Way to get the little on in there as a helper! My dad did that with me building his A, hooked me for life
Can't believe I am just chiming in now on this RJ... Looking great, and the updates and improvements really add to the overall look...definitely deserves paint, I like the scheme you described above... Also, having seen your car, I can say first hand that I was too distracted with the hemi' and '97s to even look at your brakes Car's looking tits man. BRT
Thanks for taking the time to share with us I got a couple of good ideas, like you want to finish mine for me?
great looking coupe...one of my favorite build threads....deff gives some inspiration especially having a son and seeing that yours helps with the work!!!!
Been too busy driving it... Plus i have a new project I've been working on ( not HAMB material though ). I'm throwing a 4 linked coilover D60 under my D-max In regards to the coupe, i have no complaints, except the exhaust is TOO quiet now... I think I'm going to reverse the GP's and see how that works... I went with 2" pipe which also keeps it a bit quieter... Went with 2 due to ground clearnace issues... Thanks for the comments guys
Found a weakness with my lower links. I've been noticing my rear end was drifting on the highway. I had almost 3/4 of an inch of slop in the rear end links. Seems the built 727 combined with the super light wheight car eats poly bushings. I went to WFO today to upgrade to some BEEF. I also decided to get some L/R tube adapters so I can acytually adjust it. The lame lowrider stuff was pretty cheapo.. ALSO - I'm now running all three 97's together ( no progressive ) . runs much better EDIT : On a side note: - after wrecking my D-max this year, I drove this car the ENTIRE summer from June through Sept. No issues other than the mentioned above
Good to see an update...well even if not an update a current picture of the car! Toss some more on when you get a chance!
you need to put a video up...first time seeing this as well, congrtas. very cool.
Looks great. How about a video. That would be a great Christmas present.
Here is a quik vid I did early this year. My paint and window plans have changed a bit since this vid was take. Now leaving or going with a brown. I've also straigh piped the exhaust ( it was too quiet ). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJzJAQ3c96E
