Ha! I think I only have two more updates to go on my car. One for when the engine is running and brakes are bled and the next when I get the scratch to have dickster go through my 4x2 and sync everything up and my interior is finished! I'm pacing myself!!!

I should finally have a perimeter frame here by the end of the month, then it's time to really kick some ass on it. I've been collecting parts for two years to make this happen... instead of just talking about it, it's time to actually build it! ...Thanks for asking.

  7. Very nice Dave.

The next several weeks will be busy, perhaps I can make a trip in the new year. I feel I'm missing out on the fun!

dave, looks great! those headers are awesome.

  10. I've been getting in a few hours here and there on the Vicky, but it's been stuff that doesn't look like much in the end.

I've figured out and sourced everything i need to make my door and quarter windows operational (except glass) and started chopping my garnish moldings.

And I blocked the doors for the final time and shot some sealer on them. They finally match the body.:)

Next is to seal the grill shell, install all the window hardware and make glass patterns, finish chopping the garnishes, and fill the hole in the roof.

  11. Looking good !
That little stuff takes alot longer than it appears on the surface.
that's not the fun and exciting parts of building anything but it is what sets it apart and makes it nice.

Awesome Dave! Clean, and simple! Pure hot rod. Screw any build due date. I can relate....believe me. It'll get done when it gets done....NOW HURRY UP!

  19. Keep the press, Dave.
Those little steps (garnish mouldings, window cranks, etc.) add up... and transition it from a project into a functioning car.

  20. Yeah, I know! Still got a lot left to do...

  27. Hey there Dave,
good to see you're getting some time on the Vicky, man I know what you mean about all the little stuff, that's the part that kicked my arse. I still have some of that crap yet to do, I have to replace both seals on the rear axles...........again , leaking gear lube all over the place.
Oh well, just keep at it man, Looking Great.:)

The colour really suits the car, getting closer now..Rod.

  30. I know that feeling, Dave! Just realized yesterday, that with the weight added in the back, I only have like an inch between the rear axle the bump stops on the frame. So I guess I'll also have to put the stronger set of springs in there...
