Finally made some progress on this thing! Although there is not much for pictures because it was all mechanical stuff. We got the 4.11 gears in the rear end to replace the 3.08 gears and also finally stuck the th350 in to replace the power glide. I topped the trans off with the B&M street rod shifter and so far the only thing it has going for it is it's looks. I replaced the standard shifter lever with a hurst handle I had sitting around so at first glance it looks like a 4 speed in there. The real problem with the shifter is how clunky it is to operate. I don't think I would try to bump through the gears because you could easily miss and end up in reverse. Maybe I just need to grease it up or something. Any ideas on specific spots? Anyways the car is a blast to drive now and will even scratch the tires into second gear! just needs a shift boot now, but I like driving with out it for now while I'm still getting comfortable with the shifter. Kinda hard to see with all the black, but it looks much better than the massive lokar shifter that it replaced.
