Brought the body home to get ready for paint. Went by Clarks to check out the ch***is and its looking sweet. He is just about ready to finish the exhaust and setting up the rear. Mikey sent the engine to the machine shop so hopefully it will all be together in the next couple of weeks. I'm so excited had to post pics! Jr.
Ahhhhhhhh, I'm not the only one building a trailing-arm rear suspension.....the project is coming along nicely.
What's with the 'pro-street rearend treatment? BIG slicks down back? Looks pretty none the less. Cheers, Drewfus
Junior- That thing is looking sweet! I took a few more pics of it when I was at Clark's last weekend. Those Deuce rails and the new stance make it look sooo much better. Hard to belive it was the same little "A" that Duck had to push from the mud at the first Jalopy showdown. You gonna be ready for this years mud slinging? Spike
Boones ...the trailing arms are made of 2 1/2 I beam. Drewfus...the "prostreet" look is to get the rails behind the wheelwells. Otherwise we would have had to cut half the wheelwell out. Jr...your shop looks nice now! Clark
the I-beams are cool, what did you use to attach them to the rear and what are you using for bushings in the front? Nice work...
The I beams have eurethane leaf spring bushings from a jeep. The cool part is I got 6 pair of them on Ebay for $60. I used to use Chevy truck trailing arm bushings but they would cost about $50 a pair. I'm working on a tech post for the rear suspension. It may take a little time so be patient. Clark
