    That thing looks great man!

Got a little done today. The front panel fit like shit when I got it so I took the original triangle pieces and put them on the new one. After that it fit prefect. I'll rivet it back in next week. Tomorrow I'll probably prime the cab.

Primed the cab today with some polyester primer. Just gonna leave it like that for now. Hopefully I can prime the bed this week.

Blocked the back of the cab to mellow it out. Gonna prime it again and the bed Sunday. Then hopefully it can all go together. [IMG]

Just wondering.....did you fill your brake system with fluid? If not did you consider using DOT-5? It won't melt the nice paint job like DOT-4 will. Just say. Kick-ass looking truck.

I haven't filled it yet but I do plan on using dot 5. Thank you for all the compliments!

Mike, How is your leg room with the reversed firewall & the chop? I've thought about doing the same on the model A pickup I'm building. Bill

It's pretty tight but I'm about 5'10 so it should be OK. I've got an original seat that is bolted to the floor and I made the back of the seat almost straight up and down.

    Thanks!

Wish I knew.. It sat around in his shop for 6 months and he never got to it. I finally decided to just go get it.

You may want to check if polyester primer is water proof, I don't think it is and could cause rust under the primer....DANG NICE build, hate to see you have problems with paint peeling off!

Mike, Thank you. I'm 5'8" so not that much difference in height.

Today was a pretty productive day. Got the engine and trans together. Hydraulic throwout bearings are a total pain in the ass! Finally got it though. Tomorrow I gotta order my driveshaft and hopefully this week the cab can go on.

I like the profile of your cab. Are you going to fill the roof with steel or fabric?

Nice progress Mike. This 60+ degree Chicagoland weather in February may be scary but at least we can put it to good use. This time last year I wasn't even looking at my project.

Thank you! Yeah no kidding man! This weather has been awesome. Being able to work with the garage door open is a big plus.
