its a 36 rear with a 36 spring hung over the axle like the original model A axle has . and the rear crossmember is reworked to accept the 36 spring. droped it about 4''.
First time tearing down the motor to really take a look inside to see whats going on. Thankfully everything looks really good and with the new parts that were added, she should be running pretty strong into the future. Special thanks to Rick for really tearing into the ole' 265 and getting her ready to roar.
Got the motor sitting back in the chassis, waiting on new head bolts to arrive, tomorrow. Once those get here we'll install the rods and torque everything down and finish up assembly of the 265. Carbs are on the bench ready for a complete rebuild, then it's just a matter of linking them up and getting her wired. May mess with some different headlight combos today, but I've got a pretty good idea of what set I'm leaning towards.
Thinking the original 32 lights set nice and low are the way to go. It's just a rough mock up to get an idea of what would look best.
I was going to go all out and put a sweet paint job on her when she was ready, but for some reason i'm liking the idea of a charcoal grey flat and just smoothing out the welds. I just did a quick 10 minute blast, last night, to get a look I'm really liking what I see!
Spent a rainy saturday sanding the hood and spraying the complete drivers side in the new charcoal grey.
