This is great, I also have a 32 AA frame I’m planning on using for my 30 Ford sport coupe build, picked up some good tips from your build, thanks

Looks like you tucked the frame rails in just in front of the seat area is that so?

  3. Rockabillyhotrodder….
No I didn’t tuck the frame in. It may be an optical illusion where the frame actually kicks up.

Looks great. It’s surprising what can be put together with extra parts that need some purpose in life. A while ago, I was considering doing a T bucket and really could have built most of it with stuff I had just accumulated. Didn’t happen but could have.

  5. I am still recovering from surgery so my good friend Fermin came over to get the roadster rolled outside ready for the new owner to pick up. Here he is trying it on for size.

That HAS to be the longest handlebar mustache I have ever seen! Car looks great too!

  7. Here is Jarek, ready to load up and make the 6 hour drive back to Napa, CA. Next time we see the car should be at the RPM nats with Ford flathead power, maybe not the next event as Jarek has a shoebox Ford to finish first. I am hoping he will add pics to this build thread as he progresses.

Thanks Kevin! Can’t wait to start on this one… Extra thanks to Fermin as my Bursitis knee made me extra worthless, couldn’t have loaded it without him.

My 2 sisters and my brother and I all served in Vietnam all boots on the ground. I can only imagine how hard it was on my parents. Truer Words Were Never Spoken IMG_6862.jpeg

Finally got to where I could bend my knee again and wanted to check the seating position with a real helmet on and a cushion on the seat. Looks perfect from the drivers seat and outside

Ditch that helmet and get yourself a Cromwell. Period correct...

  19. The first Bell helmet came out in 1954, and the 500 was introduced in 1957.

Oh yeah. I’ve got multiple helmets, my favorite is an old bucco white. These new ones look a little goofy but depending on the rules of the event you are at they make you run one that’s up to current specs…. I wanted to see what it looked like with the biggest lid I had.

Robert, I digress, but do you know what the little lever on the outside of this car, just above the lovely lady's left foot, does?

  23. I not 100% sure but I am thinking fuel shut off.

Kev, I have been a fan of your style and ingenuity for a long time. You have a great way of being creative while keeping it simple and straight-forward.

Not sure what that lever might be, but may serve as a reason to accidently on purpose stroke the ladies ankle.

Small update on the race car build… Decided to take the car to Sacramento Autorama (I bolted together a temporary steering setup made out of leftovers I found at the 80 year old lady’s house next door) and put it in my buddy Kyle Martin’s display in the Traditional Rod and Custom showcase. During the show Kyle added some flames to the car. He also won $1000 for best traditional display. And I made a James Dean cutout of Jason Roth…
