Couple pics of the bulkhead plates before the boxing plates went on....notice the locking tabs high in the center that actually insert into corresponding slots cut into the boxing plates. Then each individual tab was then welded into the box plate.
Amazing craftsmanship....... that's the reputation of Jimmy White.

looks bad ***, i have a thing for vicky's especially g***ers, 2 of my favorite cars, Larry teter's 32 vicky, and Ted samsel's "Teady bear" 32 vicky g***er (which was a local car here, rumored to be a street rod but the original ch***is still exists)

    bad ***

O.k. here is a little update we removed the firewall, and set the engine in. This all still in mock-up, Today I think we are going to start working on motor and ****** mounts. The car is going to run a the full hood. I really like the way the 348 looks in there.

The next pictures are of a Model A we are chopping for a customer. The customer built the car in his garage, but was a little leary on chopping it. These pic's are the layout and cutting. We took 4" out of it. I will have more updates on the chop on Sunday.
    Thanks for looking!

It means so much that you are doing this, my dad Larry Teter would be honored that you thought so much of his car to build a replica.

Terry, Thank you so much for bringing back memories. I have forwarded this to my son (Larry Teter's grandson) so he can keep track of the progress also. Can't wait to see the finished project, hope you decided to go with the original red instead of the black, are you doing the white leather on the running boards?

Since the Model A was out of the way, it was back to full force on the Vicky!
We decided to remove the firewall, mock up the motor and start on the ******, motor mounts and center crossmember.

The Ladder Bar Crossmember came from So-Cal Speedshop, We were going to make a mount that came from the crossmember to the ******. We made some templates and didnt like the way it looked. We Then decided to break out the trusty tubing bender and start bending some tubes. We bent two tubes that ran from the front of the ladder bar c-member, to the frame, we then made some flanges, and fit a drop-out tube for the ****** mount.

From there we had to figure out how to do the motor mounts, we started making templates and going for it.

With the motor mounts completed we made ears from the side of the frame to the mounts. Next on the list is to put the car on the ground and start replacing the wood in the body with steel. It might be awhile for the next updates. Thanks for looking!!
