Thanks for the compliments man!! I really appreciate it. Welding is one my favorite things to do, and I take great pride in it. I was fortunate that I worked in a shop with some of the best Fabricators around, and they really helped with my welding.

So here are some VICKY updates!! It has been a while, and we have made some pretty good progress. I will start with the pictures of the B-pillars, the original pillars were wood and not really in the best of shape. We wanted to make them out of metal, to make it as strong as possible. This is where Matt "The Rat" Proctor took over. I am really proud of him, he tackled the project with gusto, and did an amazing job!! I didnt help him one bit, and he figured it all out. Without further ado, here are the pic's.

So after the b-pillars, we needed a little more structure to tie them into. We made a sub-floor to mount the body, and support the b-pillars. We also decided to run a sway-bar, the mounts for the sway-bar come off of the tube that the rear spring attaches to.

Next up is the dash, steering and pedal ***embly. We installed a 36 ford dash, and went with a 40 Ford steering box. I didnt want the drag link running down at a weird angle so we made a steering arm that comes off the top of the spindle. For the pedals we used a Kugel Komponents pedal ***embly. We wanted to use swing pedals for under car clearance issues. We bent up a hoop, and mounted the pedals to the hoop. I have more pictures but we are heading out to dinner, I will post them when we get back.
    Thanks for looking!!

Thanks, for the compliments. Yes we have the metal covers, we are going to put a thin piece of wood between the b-pillar and the cover. Then we are going to nail the cover to the wood. Does that make sense?

The subrails sit on top of the frame, then tie everything together. It made mounting the body pretty easy. We have used that sub-floor structure on a few cars and it works out pretty well.

And in between, we mounted the rear shocks, panhard bar, and did some welding!! After we welded the rear end up solid, I sent it back out to Currie for straightening.

Lastly, we did some welding on the ch***is, Matt "the Ratt" made the battery mount. The last picture is of the car sitting on the ground, with the proper wheels and tires, at ride height. I will have some more pictures and updates next week. Thanks everyone for looking and the kind words. This car has been alot of work, and we are starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel.
    Thanks

Everytime I decide to make a part with litening holes I just get upset and start thinking of ways to make it easier on myself... Since you like to make holes so much, I'm going gather up all the little parts I need to have swiss cheesed and come over to the shop!! :D:D

Just kidding... I wouldn't put that on anyone! HA!

Lookin' great man! Clean, well-executed work as always!!

How'd that coupe turn out that was... well.... "built wrong"?
